New mini-books and SC dates!

Just popping in with a few announcements!

I added these sweet new mini-books to my product offerings a few months ago and I pretty much love them. They are 3x3 and fold up accordion-style and make a nice quiet little thump when they close thanks to the magnet inside. They fit easily into your pocket or purse or stand up on your desk, and they are AWESOME for newborns or seniors or really anyone whose face you want to be able to see at a moment's notice.

Also, as always I am excited to announce my upcoming SC summer session dates. I'll be scheduling sessions in Columbia, SC on June 9, 10, 11, and 13. And if you're looking for a session outside of Columbia I'm happy to come see you- just send me a message with your date and I'll get back to you with availability and travel fee.

Christmas cards

If you've already had a 2010 portrait session and simply want cards designed, you'll receive 20% off all card orders placed by October 15. (Design fee still applies.) Pricing begins at $30- contact me for more details.

Full payment for all sessions is due at the time of booking via check or credit card.

I will be in Columbia, South Carolina Thursday, October 14 - Sunday, October 17. Any SC session scheduled for weekday hours (before 3pm Thursday or Friday) receives a duplicate set of cards for FREE!

Back to work!

Get excited, because starting in October I'll be shooting sessions again! I'll be back to work just in time for Christmas card sessions, but will be booking only a very limited number of slots this year. Lifestyle portrait sessions begin at $200, and I'll be offering a Christmas card package similar to last year's (a full portrait session, custom-designed greeting cards with a waived design fee, and a special discount on prints and products.)

Based on a few requests, I'm also gauging interest level for Christmas sessions in South Carolina. If you or someone you know may be interested in a lifestyle portrait session in SC in mid-October, let me know ASAP. (You won't be committed until dates are booked and deposits paid, but a show of hands will help me plan.) If it warrants a trip I'd love to head down south again this year! More details will be posted on the blog soon, but if you're interested (in MD or SC), go ahead and shoot me an e-mail.

I've got some Brodito photos to share with you soon, but in the meantime, check this one out. Of course when your five-week-old won't stop grinning at his daddy, THIS is the face you get as soon as the camera comes out. Nostrils flared, eyes unfocused, no neck, slightly Blue Steel. Not your best, Brody.

I periodically add new products to my client offerings and I'm excited to share with you the latest!

Custom CD books
Most of my clients end up ordering a high-resolution photo CD of their session images. You now have the option to upgrade to a customized CD book- a sweet case to store your memories. Each CD case is designed by me and printed front and back and has a spiffy magnetic closure. These make a great gift for grandparents!








Float wraps
I love these and just ordered several for my own house. Float wraps are a more casual and afforable alternative to the gallery wrap canvases that I love so much. Your image is printed on high quality photo paper (shown) or fine art canvas and mounted on padded masonite. These come ready to hang by a 3/4" mounting block and don't need frames, creating a simple, clean look in your home. Float wraps are PERFECT for wall groupings of the kids. A variety of sizes is available and pricing begins at just $75.








For the month of March I am offering 10% off all float wrap orders, so if you've been waiting for the perfect time to freshen up your wall hangings, this is it!

It's October. Leaves are starting to crunch, pumpkins are appearing, and I'm busting out my hooded sweatshirts and fuzzy socks. Fall is awesome.

Things have been kind of slow on the blog (clearly) since arriving in Maryland as I work to get my photography business up and running here. But fear not- I have several Christmas card shoots coming up in the next few weeks and I am super pumped about them, so I'll have lots to share.

If you're thinking of getting new shots of the kids or family for Christmas, contact me now! Slots fill up pretty quickly the closer we get, and I am only one girl with one camera and two computers. I'm available for travel all around the Baltimore/DC area and you can find more details here.

I'm sorting through some images from this past weekend with the fam, but in the meantime I leave you with this lovely red boat. Are you getting sick of boat pictures yet? Well I certainly hope not, because I live on the water now and have a never-ending supply of perfectly posed boats just ASKING my camera for a portrait.
